Sorry, but at this stage of the story I'd argue Maki IS stronger than Toji. She was literally stated to be his equal 50 chapters ago. But to assume that in the preparation time for the attack on Sukuna she hasn't radically improved her abilities (like literally the rest of the cast) is just dumb.

And it's not just fire. I feel like Sukuna is gonna pull some s*** we've never seen from him (peep this panel from cp. 111 of his cursed fingers imbued with other nature elements):

For a while now its been a gimmick of others to call all women in jjk trash because gege treats them like genuine characters and not for s***appeal.

When yuki and nobara died the people were happy they finally could name the jjk female cast trash. But its just a self report that they cant give female characters their own arc and narrative.

Gege literally created Naoya as the personification of misogyny and the patriarchy, and Maki embarrassed him TWICE in a spectacular fashion. And still some mf didn't get the message. Media illiteracy really is crazy.

my best guess is they will lose now. Yuta is out of the picture… unless Yuji still got something big up his sleeve im expecting them to fight sukuna at a later date. Might be completely off tho. Its called Decisive Battle of Shinjuku afterall.

Just narratively it really dont feel like Sukuna is even close to losing (despite missing a heart) even tho the story really wants to make us think that. like no backstory, yuji 0 blackflashes, nothing about Uraume yet. Flames and real technique yet to be revealed.

Personally would love for a Jujutsu Kaisen part 2 like for CSM. sukuna starts merger and we get a heian 2.0 with a full reset but probably wishful thinking on my part

Nobara dying could've been handled better tbh. Nanami send off was much more personal and satisfying. I'd hoped that they do the same with nobara
