JJK is very lacking in backstories tbh. i always feel like there's supposed to be way more to them and there just never is. Never liked how we learned about Toji's scar or how he's f***ed cuz his wife died through some notes at the end of a chapter.

I think lots of stuff being in subtext is what makes jjk so addicting to read to me but at the same time a little bit more show instead of just telling us would also be nice.

On the one hand that makes in my opinion jjk dialogue super interesting cause usually theres always something relevant mentioned that might come into play many chapters later on the other hand just saying that Yuki was a star plasma vessel which hints at such an interesting backstory for her character and never going anywhere with it kinda whack ngl

Still Geges biggest fumble to this day couldve kept todo just in the story and fight Kenjaku with her and lose. Literally no reason not to have him there imo. We already saw how much it sucks to be a star plasma vessel with riko but I think Yukis sacrifice makes so much more sense knowing she also didnt merge with Tengen and is in a way also responsible for the current events. It probably also explains why she looked for a greater purpose with solving cursed energy. But the way its written this got all lost pretty much and the entire arc focused on Choso

Stars and Oil arc just way too short the execution is lacking. The ingredients are all there but it being I believe 4 chapters is even by jjk standards way too short. Especially since its significantly shorter than some colonies which have far lower stakes Maybeee the anime fluffs it up a bit.
