Literally the opposite. First time their domains clashed Gojo had no infinity up due to burnout is exactly when the flames wouldve activated and Gojo woudve been burned to death. Sukuna wanted to play the domain battle to use mahoraga

Gojo won the battle of domains. Remember Sukuna didn’t even take the full force of void. He redirected it to megumi. Narrator says once Gojo tweaked his domain to be very small it completely destroyed any hope of Sukuna effectively using the flames. Even with having megumi to tank void and 10S Sukuna still lost the domain battle and had his brain fried and all his techniques weakened.

if it was just gojo vs Sukuna I don’t see a way for Sukuna to beat him

    Fellas I need to ask

I know how binding vows work but is there a limit to how many one sorcerer can use? Seems like Sukuna has been able to avoid setbacks using this but it begs the question why wouldn’t Gojo have used the same methods to stay alive earlier given he would presumably know about this as well?

I love the cooking motif with Sukuna being a legit cannibal. It was already known his CT was cooking based because dismantle and cleave were explained with kitchen knives. The way he opens the furnace is raw as hell and plus the destructive power is insane. I see a theory going around that his fork is hiten which would basically finish his culinary ct lmao

The setbacks are explained. It’s give and take. Sukuna for instance can’t activate world slash without four hands, chants, then pointing where it would be sent. He at first could just do it with just his domain symbol, but in order to beat Gojo he used a BV to have it instantly hit him so he couldn’t react, and gave away that he no longer do it with just two hands and no chanting and pointing.

This is a fair trade because for instant activation, If Sukuna had stayed in Megumi’s body he wouldn’t be able to do the world slash ever again. So he had to reincarnate. And now that he has two hands only, he can’t do it again. He nerfed himself for that advantage. And that’s how all BVs work and have always worked.

Sukuna just have more to give and offer which is why he can make more binding vows than others and having a 20v1 currently meaning he’ll do anything to win, but he is effectively nerfing himself each time slowly.

And I don’t know how Gojo was going to make a BV to survive after being bisected. That’s not how it works lol it’s giving or taking. Essentially changing how something may work and its efficiency and sacrificing for it. Not creating anything just because you want to. And he did not know Sukuna would say “hey I’m giving this up to hit you”. he didn’t even know Sukuna modeled himself after Makora.

It’s best to think of it in a way like you create your own character, you give yourself particular attributes. You don’t like those attributes but used up your attribute points, so you exchange and move around your points. But you can’t ever go and get back what you just did because you’ll break a binding vow and there is consequences or it is just not allowed.

Sukuna won the very first domain battle

what could Gojo have done against the flames in this situation?

He is not just cooking his victims and eating them literally also throughout the series he has been devouring their lifes and souls. The impression of gojo, jogo, kashimo, higurama he describes their power as flavor. Fighting strong sorcerers is literally his way of eating as a means of survival until he dies. His entertainment and his purpose. Taking this further he also devoured his twin inside the womb and devoured megumi to be reborn

Its cool cause where sukuna is all about eating Kenjaku is all about birth. Where his entire theme is around creating something outside of his control which is why I like their death alot ngl.

No problem! And another reason people don’t use BVs is because they are so risky. Miwa can’t hold a katana again which may have just ended her whole career. You rather not use it because you may just give up something and it not be worth it (Kenjaku caught her sword and made her BV pointless lol) but Sukuna is a genius, and finds loopholes. >Makes it so he can’t ever use world slash again because he only has two hands
    >but he knew he could reincarnate to have four. Made it harder to use, but still kept it possible.

If Miwa begins using a different weapon other than a katana, then her BV would be similar to Sukuna where she sacrificed something completely but just found a loophole. But she is still unable to ever wield a katana, which in certain situations could be costly

Yeah the themes with their CT are fitting to their personality. I love Gojo’s so much. Unable to connect to others being the strongest, so infinity creates an infinite wall between him and everyone. It’s powers with a purpose that only expand the characters themselves and what they represent or struggle with.
