And to continue my cope I think sakura is actually a great example of how you ruin a female character by shoehorning her into stories where she doesnt belong. Naboras contribution was fair to her character. She didnt suddenly go toe to toe with heavy hitters. She is likeable and beloved both to readers and to yuji and megumi. Thats whats made her absence meaningful. It felt like something was gone. And for a short manga like jjk thats effective enough.

sometimes people talk about how disappointed they are that her and the other students didnt get more fights, actuon contribution. But wouldnt a 5 chapter Miwa fight suck balls?? And if gege really did that all he would do is stretch out jjk to 500 chapters

I would’ve liked a 5 chapter miwa fight simply because i f w samurais and stances like that. and would be cool to see more female chars boss up cause i mean outside of maki/minmin/nob/angel sorta the rest were quite underwhelming

Neither of the "big 3" have a character close to Maki

The standards for shounen are LOW for sure.

But jjks biggest flaw is how extra indifferent gege treats the female characters. They are neither special or particularly sexualized. A big part of jjks story is how imbeded sexism and the patriarchy is into the jujutsu society.

Maki was cast out of this world for refusing to "play her role". Its not a shoehorned in femism story because it perfectly aligns with the rest of the outcasts saved by Gojo like Hakari, Kirara, Panda and co.

Im sorry but saying "ohh jjk has terrible female representation and gege is a sexist" is some bullshit you picked up from Twitter and I appreciate if you try to have an ounce of media literacy

The kazekage rescue arc was about about a young woman and an old woman fighting a guy to save another guy and in the end old woman kills herself to save young guy

Oh yeah and young woman has no personality except that she is in love with a black haired edgelord for 600 chapters
