NGL... been finally caught up to the manga(haven't been reading weekly for like a year), and I'm not feeling the Culling Games saga that much..
It's not terrible or anything. But the magic is gone for me

Nah Yuta can def keep up with this version of Sukuna
I find what user Shimoshimo on discord said about the chapter's title in the leaks thread on there really interesting. It may give us a hint on what's gonna happen in the next few chapters. Copy pasting their words:
"Regarding the title, the numbering is not a mistake. The titles for this chapter and the previous chapter share the same pronunciation: うむ (Umu). The following are five verbs that share the same pronunciation in Japanese: Ripen, Fester, Bore (as in boredom), Spin (as in unreeling cocoon), and Birth. We may expect the next chapter's title to be something like "Spin ③" or "Birth ③". "Birth" is especially something to look forward to."
Previous chapter was called Ripen, this one is called Fester (2). My guess is that the next chapter is Bore, with Yuji and/or someone else attempting an attack on Sukuna, and Sukuna obviously feeling bored by it because they can't land a single scratch on him. Sukuna flees, possibly to the bath location, and then comes the Spin chapter. Assuming that Uraume has the remaining 5 fingers and feeds them to Megkuna. Unreeling cocoon = Sukuna getting rid of/leaving Megumi's body for the bath ritual ? Not sure about this one because of the paragraph below. Could be symbolism for getting rid of the last traces of Megumi's soul/mind from the vessel body. The last chapter is Birth where the ritual is complete and purified Sukuna regains his full power.
While I'd be happy if Megumi was only used as a temporary vessel before the bath - because that would mean we get to find out his status (whatever it is) sooner rather than later, for plot's sake, I'm guessing Sukuna will keep his body as a vessel. The bath is supposed to be a purification ritual, which could indicate Sukuna completely taking over the vessel's body, and not necessarily leaving it. I guess we shall wait and see what exactly Gege does, but this plot development could spur other fun theories and bring back some other plot points further down the line, like the body = soul discussion.
If this true, Gege a monster.

Not worth it. Not much, if any, significant differences.

Chapter 212 spoiler: (its a meme)
wtf just happen
212 Re-reading the Shibuya arc before the anime starts and I found a very important detail. It was interesting why Sukuna took an interest in Megumi so early in the series and this might be why. He orchestrated this perfectly because right after Sukuna attacked Megumi and Gojo took Itadori to train did he come up with the contract now being used. Now 15 fingers later able to use a full powered Ten Shadow Technique hinted by Gojo to be on par with a Limitless user like him. We need this Gojo unboxing NOW

I get what youre saying but to me it would kinda ruin sukunas character. He is said to be the most proud and arrogant being you think he would want to use a Cursed technique thats not his own just to get stronger? Sounds ridiculous to me. The sukuna weve seen so far already thinks he is the strongest why would he want an upgrade
Oh that’s why y’all were hyping this s*** up
I was expected a Megumi heel turn more than this Gege you sick b\*\*\*\*\*\* you did it again

To me the seeds are planted for this to be canon and we know Sukuna to be highly manipulative and intelligent. We have to also consider that he’s not at his full power yet so he’s really just taking precaution to supplement and use whatever resources he has to win and bring about the most carnage.
On a scale of 1/10 how gas is the manga? I need some new s*** to read, but I watched the first 5 episodes of the anime and wasn’t feeling it so far @op @Datten @Kenig @Splur @rano @GloMide @hayabusa @YungPapi @AshTheRobot
The two arcs immediately following where the anime left off are peak JJK. I’d go as far as to say the Shibuya arc is one of the best manga arcs I’ve ever read it’s all payoff from what was set up before.
If you got the time I’d say catch up, the manga is best binged because the slower chapters won’t be as disappointing in that format vs week to week. You have a ton of dope moments ahead.

I’d say if you’re on the fence about it watch it until you know this isn’t for you. The show is gearing up for a second szn and the manga just hit a turning point so the spoilers will be everywhere.
