Personally I don't think he'll die, but Sukuna is def not finished

Super curious how he subverts expectations here there are seemingly 1-3 possibilities. Hope it’s something unexpected

He has to be removed somehow imo, he’s not truly essential to the plot and for the other characters to grow he got to go, it’s not really the fact that he’s super strong because I do believe Sukuna is on his level but for the others to reach their potential, he gotta go

Plus killing Sukuna off makes no sense either since he is essential to the plot, but I hope Megumi can be saved

I mean he is essential to the plot. He is basically the second protagonist. There is also his story with Geto that could come to an end. Not everything has to be calculated but yeah it seems difficult to have any stakes involved for Yuji now if Gojo would just sick around thats for sure

But his story with Geto has ended lol, that’s just Kenjaku using his body which Gojo doesn’t really have history with outside of that, he’s not essential to the plot because he can die and it wouldn’t effect the end game and Yuji, Maki, Yuta, Megumi can’t truly grow with him around plus another 6 eyes user will be born eventually anyways lol

I'm pretty sure Gojo said something about wanting to "mourn suguru's body". I think Gojo will take an L and be incapacitated by Sukuna but he wont die. This way it creates further conflict for the remaining characters and Gojo can eventually have his closure with Kenjaku/geto.

Sukuna wont die yet I guess thats one thing we can pretty much say for certain. However the story is not gonna be long anymore. At one point his calculated and prideful facade will shatter. A loss in this fight could be interesting. He has already said to Yorozu that to him losing means death. Which gege can take basically everywhere. Showing what makes him the disgraced one and the king of curses. Aslong as he lives in some capacity that will be enough for him but now he has lost which could make him desperate and therefore even more sinister. Which is why I hope his solution to this loss wont be just a simple upgrade or new technique that suddenly makes him stronger but a defining character moment

Yea I completely understand that part but in terms to the true end game I think that’s a very small part to it, that’s just a personal vendetta, but yea, he doesn’t have to actually “die”, but just for the others to grow he has to be removed somehow, and I think Gege knows that, that’s why he gave everyone a Gojo at his absolute peak arc

I guess this is not a spoiler but as much as gege loves his antagonists he also loves to give them an astonishingly brutal and coldhearted end. I expect it will be no different to sukuna.

My wild prediction: Sukuna attempts to revive his old body but needs a sacrifice. He sacrifices Gojo and gains his OG body back. It’s a ritual that bypasses infinity
