I think nothing else would have worked, no matter how op his other techniques might’ve been. Gojo revealed everything though, and Sukuna had a whole hat of tricks and took him out using one, the one that worked. That’s why Gojo mentioned Sukuna didn’t go all out, but technically he couldn’t.
