all I know is Yuji better not get any massive power ups out of nowhere. He wanted to let him be a cheerleader while every other character surpassed him in strength then so be it. That’s our MC and we ride.
Yuji will get a power up, in the time from when Gojo was unsealed and the time he actually fought they gave yuji something to read and learn jujutsu from if i remember it correctly. It’s heavily implied he has a power that does something with the soul. Possible a soul swap type of move. I’m guessing he also has a moment where he starts to understand the real nature of jujutsu and the death womb abilities at some point
Jujutsu Kaisen is not good, but it’s being forced into mainstream
Forced by who?
The only time I actually read the translated chapter was when it was posted in this thread a few pages ago. And I felt like it satisfied me. However, the sentiment behind Nanami's exchange with Gojo escaped me (I didn't pay it much mind and instead I focused more on the gojo x sukuna dynamics). Now, I've seen someone make a video on it (with a slightly different translation), and yeah, it's not great. So, basically, Nanami told Gojo he never really cared about protecting people or keeping sorcery going and that Gojo only did it because he "got a kick out of it". Haibara then confirms it. And Gojo doesn't even deny it. Which would be fine I guess. But this clearly contradicts Gojo's established goal of resetting the Jujutsu world and fostering his students. This is a clear contradiction by Gege, is it not? What do yall think?
Just by Gojo's reaction alone i can tell that he disagrees completely, people are reading too much into that one, a character having a different perspective of what is portrayed doesnt mean much, it just shows how Nanami viewed him and its not the first time he describes him somewhat the same so i dont consider it a contradiction at all

yeah that's what I'm leaning more towards. I just can't accept that Gege would write such a contradiction. But nanami kinda of an a\*\*\*\*\*\*
Forced by who?
what company owns JJK? Shonen Jump, Crunchy Roll ?
somebody is over doing it, and that’s bad, truthfully no one would be watching JJK if One punch man was out rn, and dats super mainstream too,
When they force market shows it’s hard to find the true sleepers
Jujutsu Kaisen is not good, but it’s being forced into mainstream
You mean Demon Slayer

Nanami has called Gojo egotistical on three or four different occasions. He always felt this way about him. The newest episode he literally called him that. And he is right. Gojo fight with the disaster curses was literally to show who’s dominant. Gojo always wanting to fight alone. Gojo’s whole past story, where he was cocky as f\*\*\* and didn’t care about rules. But he also cared about his students. Both apply.

What
JJK is being hyped because it had really good arcs and gained a ton of popularity through the manga and then the anime adaptation and movie
People have been looking forward to and talking about shibuya for like 3 years now
One punch man on the other hand idk. I still haven’t watched season 2 because I’ve heard mostly bad things. I don’t think a new season of OPM would put Shibuya in a shadow
damn now i need yakuza 9 to untangle the mystery of why THEY keep influencing anime watchers by pushing certain shows
Jujutsu Kaisen is not good, but it’s being forced into mainstream
What anime u like?
Jujutsu Kaisen is not good, but it’s being forced into mainstream

It comes down to shounen jump and volume sales. They dont give this type of promotion if the source material isnt already very successful which it is.
Shounen Jump has a very very high cancellation rate if a show doesn't resonate with an audience they dont bother and cancel it.
I love One Punch man but where that manga has 30 milion copies sold Jujutsu kaisen is well above 80. Jujutsu kaisen was the best selling manga of 2021 and 2022 surpassing stuff like demon slayer. Its well worth the promotion for the publishers
Talking sales in manga/anime thread
: boy im cooked
So I never read the manga, is Gojo just gonna be done till the endgame now
Don’t know what’s considered end game but he is eventually unsealed
if you wanna know how long he’ll be sealed in irl terms
we probably ain’t seeing gojo again for at least 3 years

Yeah I feel like in that regard Gojo doesn't have to be either or. He's allowed complexity. Like how actual humans are complex and with their faults. I love how a single chapter has made people a\*\*\*ize Gojo like never before.
