He is a special grade cursed spirit. Unless youre talking the desaster curses those are usually beatable by grade 1 sorcerers.
So on paper its:
Special grade spirit ≈ Grade 1 sorcerer

Special grade sorcerers are above everything

If we are speaking manga Then technically Hakari or Naobito have him beat in my opinion. He struggled with projection sorcery and I put Naobito over Naoya. Plus Hakari hitting jackpot is beating him too. Then you have Maki who should be grade 1, and also Kashimo, Ryu, Higuruma and Takaba who all would be special grade 1 who can beat him. And Urame if we include them

Now these 2 got awesome animation for sure. At the end of the day the naruto choreo is cool but nothing is really happening and the background is stagnant, while the OP fight is basically just super cool looking visual effects in a seemingly endless space.

Choso Yuji is a fest imo. EVERY punch has impact and meaning. The environment plays a huge role. They are in that bathroom. They slip on the water, yuji jumps of the wall. There is so many details in that fight. New perspectives. You can see both characters constantly use new tricks to try and get a punch in. Every second has so much more meaning than just big attack stronger than bigger attack or the mindless choreo that does no damage at all.

No disrespect to the other fights they are awesome too. I just prefer the way JJK fights work and the animation did it amazing

Just caught up on the manga and the closer I get to the latest chapter the more apparent it is that Gege just wants to end this series already

First fight I compared it to was the kakashi vs Obito. Both were in dope settings and had the emotional grip, I may tip it in the favor to Yuji vs Choso for the dynamic being held for a whole episode length and the use of the environment too, but still love that SSS Tier Naruto fight, so it may vary. I think JJK and Naruto both got it when it comes to fights but I won’t lie, no other series I ever wanted to see a fight be animated like JJK. I’m hoping Mahito vs Yuji is generational. If Mappa can deliver on the next few fights then this will be a top 2 anime season in the books for me, and may not be 2.

I mean he has always had a fast pace and planned for only three big arcs. Got to go in with an open mind and know this isn’t going to be a 400 plus manga and that’s perfectly okay. Hype moment after hype moment. If we make it to 300 then consider that amazing.

All I could think during this episode. It works really well when it works but it doesn’t look that great sometimes. It’s fluid and flashy but I still kinda prefer season 1 idk

I need them to go ballistic for toji crashing the dagon party, sukuna toying with full power jogo, and yuji/todo vs mahito

Add in extra scenes for all of them. I’m not gonna lie I was hoping they went a tad bit harder for yuji/choso but I’m satisfied with what we got. But I need them to go crazy for those 3. Especially the second one considering the scale of that clash. Let the nuts hang.

They definitely got something cooking for all three. I expect the Mahito fight to get preferential treatment but it’s probably three episodes long so I feel only one episode may get the big budget animation lol
