Haven't listened in a while. Imma listen today and give you my thoughts.
And ya the American scene was like a lil blip compared to uk. Good music went unheard during that era

album is heat except for beatbox session by gfs. that song is bad. but his other track "closure" is ok.
the comp is atmospheric mixed with regular dnb. my fave track is track one Understand by high bias. sounds like if a guy called gerald and krust where to make a song together.
also my cd is actaully 10 tracks and not 8. there are two High Bias records. both fire
not a single trace of that name anywhere on the internet linked to drum n bass
i dug a lil more and its these guys
discogs.com/artist/40808-DJ-Swingsett-J-Warrin
my cd has this release put in there
discogs.com/DJ-Swingsett-J-Warrin-High-Bias/release/770319
these are the jamie myerson songs but they are actually Jan Johnston tracks with jamie featured

I'm sure y'all know about the roots of hip hop. Sampling, drum breaks, DJ's and MC's. The roots of jungle are similar in a lot of aspects, utilizing drum breaks, sampling, etc, except it grew out of the breakbeat hardcore/free party scene in the UK.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jungle_music
The style of music is meant for DJ's to mix at parties, so a lot of the song structure reflects that. It's better to listen to in mixes imo.
Essential Listens
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhV9VbxV3RwGoldie was also briefly engaged to Bjork
There's also a Good Looking Records (Bukem's Label) documentary from 1996 on youtube. The label manager is a complete jackass. It's like watching mid 90's rave Spinal Tap
Lots of early rave influence on this one^ Rave stabs
Hey OP If you’re big into Jungle and other similar era electronic stuff (House, Rave, Breakbeat etc) check out the book “Energy Flash” by Simon Reynolds.
Charts the evolution of electronic music all the way from Kraftwerk and early House through to the modern day. The original edition came out in the 90s I think so that’s the main focus of the book.
It’s a really good read and put me on to some rare tunes when I first read it

fun fact
my house music real story book is signed by Jesse Saunders. i bought it the week before Frankie Knuckles died and Jesse mentions him in my autograph. because Frankie died right after i bought it, i thought the book was cursed and took me a year til i actually read it
dude has the song name messed up. this is actually "united earth"

bass drop on here is nasty as hell. i buy random comps and youll always find s*** that didnt get the recognition it should have gotten
