okay so i am dumb and did not postpone it a couple of weeks ago when i should have. i am suppose to go in at 7:45am while the city is 2 hours away and meanwhile I have a final for class at 2:30pm. Does anyone know if I am able to call in the morning tomorrow and explain my situation or will they just count me absent and give me whatever punishment you get for missing

are u actually selected to be a jury or just going to see if you are selected? I went once to see if I would get picked to be a juror and the lady in charge said you can speak to the judge and explain that you cant be on the juror. She just said to have a valid excuse, which in your case is school, so you should be able to skip.

no idea it just says to appear on tomorrows date at that time. driving there and back would potentially make me miss my final since i know it takes a while to be called in front of the judge

yeah im not going forsure then, i been reading online about this and people are saying its fine to miss the first time and they would usually just a letter saying show up again or receive nothing at all

im still going to call though and see if that could help

Im supposed to do jury duty this week after postponing online twice and a third time after i called, youll be fine. Just tell them you showed up late and you need to postpone it dont worry about an excuse they hear it all day. Just call as they open or else you’ll be put on hold longer than you want to be
