Abolition sound great and reform ultimately should happen but nah. Some people just aint meant to associate with the rest of the world lol.

Last week an innocent blw man on death row got life in prison.

On both scenarios a black life was unfairly lost.

Abolition prevents the first one from happening.

Of course I don't have all the answers but one "good" Verdict doesn't free the innocent men that have been executed by the state and in those cases no one gets to go on trial.

Hence my "reform ultimately should happen" point.

It would be dishonest for me to say I'm for prison abolition when the thought of re-welcoming the cosbys, kellys, dylan roofs back into the world through "transformative justice" (which once again, sounds great in theory. But I've seen that s*** fail IRL and the results ending up harming the community/victims the most) make me throw up inside.

I acknowledge this isn't right. Nor is it fair or just. But it's my moral blind spot.
