while brother @Brave is right, that doesn’t mean you can simply assume that popular music is also inherently superior, and could even be inferior because of inherent conditions and qualities between the two

I don’t listen to radio, or rap caviar or most the s*** most people f*** wit and I don’t watch reviewers videos

I find music through word of mouth and just givin artists a chance I keep catchin wind of

Sometimes some s*** will play in a lounge, in a lyft or on random while I’m playin Spotify that’ll make me check into their s***

But there’s plenty of artists in the radio and poppin playlist I won’t even give half a chance til Im forced to.

Same goes for artists nobody listens to that y’all gas to seem more informed on music than the average consumer and that’s equally corny to just being influenced by the gatekeepers and outlets

Of course that was just about audiences

There's a lot of circumstances behind a song being big on the charts. Some of those circumstances oftentimes take away from a song's quality to appeal to lowest common denominator tastes

Yeah people don’t listen to most music. An artist like King Krule no one I interact in my life knows who that is in real life. But he’s actually a pretty big name in indie music and I’ve been to his shows and they’re packed and high energy. So why do you place some arbitrary line? Good and interesting music will always have fans

Why do y’all even care what people are listening to? I absolute despise something like 100 gecs and think it’s some complete meme bullshit but I also see some people really just like them. I have artists like that for me so why wouldn’t I just apply that logic to them.... Lol it’s almost like projecting that you can’t connect or understand certain music

Usually people who like underground and lesser known s*** are quite open about their dislike of everybody else’s taste

Why does it bother you so much that I’m critical of them just as they are of others
