dont get me wrong I used to like a few songs here and there when I was younger but to me they didn't age all that well.. I can't really go back to any of them except for maybe a handful. But a lot of the other stuff I was super into I can still go back to and love every minute of it.

maybe I am but the pop-punk genre to me anyway is more of a middle school genre, a stepping stone sort or rather an entire point to a vast land of hardcore and the many sub-genres and sub-cultures involved.

I've literally thought that since middle-school... maybe its because I always hung around older kids who used to put me on to other music, and always clowned little kids for listening to stuff, maybe I just didn't want to get made fun of growing up IDK...

My friends listened to metalcore, deathcore, metal etc... plus if you ever mentioned pop-punk music at the venues and shows we used to go to in 8th, 9th and 10th grade would get you stomped out

There’s a lot of lame pop punk out there, but to each their own. Anyone here recommend a good group that isn’t Dookie Green Day or Blink 182?

you from the niagara region or GTA...

I was more of a George Petit fan myself... I skated with Dallas and George in 8th grade at a local skatepark, and I've met Wade a few times

Don’t hate me, but Fall Out Boy all the way through Folie A Deux were great. 🤷🏾‍♂️

The Descendents and Screeching Weasel are timeless pop punk in my book.. Jawbreaker if they count (they're more sophisticated tho).

Neither. Houston. Grew up listening to them. Got into them around the time they were rolling out Young Cardinals/Old Crows album. Heard this could be anywhere in the world on YouTube through some amv type video and the rest is history. Ranking probably Watch Out = Crisis >= Self Titled (but this grows on me often) > Young Cardinals > Dogs Blood EP.
