This guy is confusing the s*** out of me. GRODT went platinum for no reason but 600k for port of Miami is impressive because it’s his debut album
Someone make this make sense
Y’all can’t read fam
OP made a thread about how he surprised 50 doesn’t own his biggest song and found out through Ross x 50 court case and you all got defensive and started dissing Ross
I said albums in general went platinum allot more often
I even have a chart up on the last page
U can’t say that that doesn’t help his album sales from GRODT
when I bring up POM going plat I think it is impressive because Ross didn’t have hype and didn’t have the world at his hands
And people want to bring up albums sales when 50 clearly had allot more to his advantage and Ross just kinda had a normal first footstep in the game for 06
Ross still has like 5-6 gold albums during a time when album sales were at a major decrease
50 cent release a commercially successful album with executive Dre production and Eminem features and didn’t expect all the white 2003 white people to buy the f*** out that album
Wankstas listening to Wankstas

Tbf I was going hard against 50 too
Let’s NOT go there and compare their life to lyrics comparisons
No do not go there
50 gets shot 9 times and lives
Omg he’s a super thug
Lmao y’all made me fill my truck all the way up with gas and I didn’t want to 💀💀💀💀 it’s fine it’s fine
Tbf I was going hard against 50 too
Doesn’t mean Ross slander was necessary
Put a coherent thought together
All I’ve learned itt is that 50 cent wouldn’t have gone gold with GRODT had it not been for iTunes or some s***
I still love 50 and he was a street legend but he got issues too lol
That whole ghetto quran s*** and then putting it in the movie “click clack officer down”
and im pretty sure he told when murder inc stabbed him

They didn't show out for Obie Trice and Bizarre though who both released albums right during Aftermath's peak years.

Bro all I’m sayin is 50 dropped at the height of album sales and had Eminem and Dre working with him on his album
Plus just all his dissing other rappers
& all his mixtape hyping up this debut album
All that s***
Then Ross only really had 2 singles with a Jay-z and Jeezy remix. So his sales for POM are just now turning platinum prob cuz of hustlin but it’s his worst album and still someho reached plat status even tho it took a long time
Just saying y’all don’t see how 50 had a lot to his advantage while Ross just kinda had a normal introduction to the game
i’d say 50 cent/the old aftermath crew (dre, em) and 2pac are still some of the biggest rappers, more worldwide than modern drake
he really was everywhere
only 50 could go to a random eastern european country and sell out shows like it’s 2003
Facts.
Even Jackie Chan in this interview didn't know who the Wu Tang was but name dropped 50 Cent.

Lmao
Maybe cuz those artists style didn’t fit what the mainstream wanted
Y’all really brining up Obie trice and bizarre

Case in point: 50's album sales and popularity went beyond being associated with Eminem and Dre.
Otherwise, they both would've went plat just off of Em producing "Got Some Teeth" and Bizarre being a member of D12.
50 was a skilled songwriter, hook maker, had a solid brand of his own, a crew who brought their own talents, and a heap of other stuff.
If Eminem and Dre alone had enough power to make a rapper that hot, 50 shouldn't have been the only one with that success.

U can’t say they didn’t help him get a diamond album tho

50 Cent was selling mixtapes from his trunk and was signed to Warner but then got dropped after he got shot before releasing his power of the dollar album you can’t say his introduction to the game wasn’t pure and real he didn’t go straight to em and dre
