Not even sure where to post about this really but I just got gifted an older 4K Samsung TV and tryna get the picture settings best for gaming on my Xbox (just the Xbone for now unfortunately)

I’ve messed with the settings myself and read a bit but anybody on KTT got any recommendations or anything at all? Lowkey driving myself crazy messing with all this s*** lol feel like my eyes are starting to play tricks on me

Just turn off motion control. I have a Sony 4K and I use the cinema pro preset for basically everything including gaming, but I’ll switch it to sports mode sometimes.

EDIT:

I know this isn’t helpful considering you have a Samsung but I’m assuming they have great presets as well.

try looking up the specific model on rtings.com and see if they have any opinions on it

Lmaoooo just saw the replies on this, y’all big mad for no reason my uncle got a bigger newer TV so he gave me his older one for Christmas since mine was pry about to s*** out. Ain’t tryna flex a f***ing TV was just looking for recommendations

In main menu on xbox go to

Settings -> Display and Sound -> calibrate hdtv

Then follow the instructions on screen.

Also set the resolution to 4k before all of this.

I love my 2018 Samsung TV but I definitely had to mess with the settings. I had to turn off "digital clean view" and "contrast enhancer". I like the soap opera effect a little bit, but you can also turn off auto motion plus if that's not your thing.
