beyond, my mom (also a retired carrier) goes to the monthly retiree's luncheons where he essentially schmoozes all the old retirees for the votes come election time cause they aren't in the know about how he actually goes about things. also in my first meeting w postal inspectors after the incident he stepped in and took the opportunity to 'represent' me just to not show up on behalf of his boy so they had to pull a random steward from off the street who had no knowledge of it all for my representation.
