I respect the Interviewer for being straight up to you tbh. Most people that have the role of hiring Ghost you or don't even know what they're talking about regarding the job.
I had a zoom interview for a digital marketing job. Entry level nothing special. The interview wasn’t good but it wasn’t going horrible either.
At the end he just became straight up with me asking “Do you think this is a good fit?”
I was a little shocked.
I mean I wanted the job so I told I’m still interested but told him I’m not the most savvy in the industry.
I AM PARAPHRASING HERE:
He said “it’s okay you don’t have to be but I don’t think is a good fit for you. I think we should part our ways professionally after this interview.
He basically said we just not vibing.
I feel like s*** fam. Never been rejected at the end of the interview before. I know I shouldn't have self-worth be determined by a job, an entry level much less, but still I feel worthless.
We just not vibing is wild
I told him I am capable of doing the job regardless tho.
Never tell them anything that makes you look bad regardless though lol
Na it’s worse when they give you hope and then never call you back for 3 weeks
Always go into an interview assuming you aint getting the job and y'all be gucci
Interviews are tests of culture fit. We know you can do the role but many other applicants can do the role
OP interviewer
LMAO 😂 This one actually got me chuckling.

We want someone who knows what they’re doing and are confident in their skills, not just “capable of doing the job”.

I feel u op but atleast there was no suspense. Had an interview the other day that went great and everyone i spoke to at the company dropped little hints that I'd be getting the position. Next week comes around and I didnt get it idk why they had to lead me on like that fam
“We just not vibing”
Lmaooo interview was so bad he couldn’t keep it professional
my guy dishing the funniest comments
I walked in for a bank teller position a few years ago and the interviewer's wife called in the middle of the interview. He doesn't even hang up the call but proceeds to tell her that they already hired a female for the bank teller position. Almost had the urge to choke him out right there.
Deadass?
Yeah
Panel interview with like 5 interviewers and from the start you could tell they were not interested in doing the interview at all. Only one guy was actually asking me questions and the other 4 were legit on their phones and I think they were probably texting s*** about me. Interview ends and at this point I know it's a disaster and I'm heading out the door myself and as Im heading out they all start laughing really loud like was probably about me as far as I could tell.
F*** em anyways.
Never tell them anything that makes you look bad regardless though lol
This. I feel like the only time you should even come close to speaking negatively about yourself is if they ask you about your weaknesses. Even then I try to frame it as “well at my last job” and then describe about how you’ve been working to improve it since then.
Just know tho op, to be overly-qualified and be rejected from work is far more painful than being entry-level rejected. Give it time. You'll get your foot in the door eventually.
Shouldve never read this thread
Had an interview today and we was NOT VIBING AT ALL lmaoooo
