    how so?

Usually reserved for people who initiate a clear and defined paradigm shift in culture.

A great rapper and cultural icon but revolutionary, ehh…

  • zenereura

He started a movement forreal, brains like Kendrick etc. and even made the Papal music playlist and become a jesus like figure in places like Brazil, Russia etc. but he wasn't able to really develop his ideas about Socialism etc. due to being murdered, he still influenced so much but more in regards to fashion, music, aesthetic but his energy and influence still lingers all over black and even popular music, however his political ideas weren't as impactful, yet.

I remember there is this Russia Minister, one of the top Kremlin politicians and he has a Tupac photo in his office even

"Jesus like figure in places like Brazil, Russia etc."

Yall got to actually step outside and stop exaggerating

7 day theory reporter voice from to live & die in LA

he started the revolution known as
"tha roses that grew from concrete"

    nah but

i would argue that nobody put
    passion and personality into their
    raps the way Pac did

and i feel like that is why his music resonates so well even today

you could argue that this is just a revolutionary act and not a revolution

    but

i feel like the people he has clearly inspired is what turns into a revolution

i do not believe we get the
honesty that we hear in rap without Pac

and i believe Hip Hop is
    the highest form of vibration

so i feel like that must mean
    Pac is a revolutionary speaker

in the same way Martin and Malcom were

    even just watching interviews

he truly jumped off the screen

you can't say that about too many people

    let alone rappers

    "what revolution did pac start?"

    "his music was realllly good"

I dont think honesty in hip hop is something revolutionary tbh. U can call it influential, sure. But revolutionary is pushing it tbh.

Cause it's not like hip hop was void of honesty at all and pac came along change that. I mean look at who was out back then along with pac. Nas, big, tribe, cube, public enemy, scarface

i dont think you can classify his influence as an revolution per se,but his influence is clear as day.

The true revolution is an ongoing one that isn't started by 1 particular person. Pac is definitely a revolutionary though.

it wasn't just the honesty though

it was his voice and delivery

if he got up on a podium and spoke he could easily deliver a march on washington like speech

and his music sounds like that

and i truly believe his life and passing will be something we look back on as the start of what's next

i can see why some folks feel like it's not a clear YES

    at this moment

but i believe there will come a day where we say

    uh yeah

he truly helped to change the world

    and i'm not just saying
    that cause he's my avi

Voice and delivery aren't really a valid argument that he started the revolution.

I think ur confusing influence with revolution. Pac didn't reinvent the wheel if ur using revolution in that sense and he didn't overthrow anything if ur using revolution in that sense. He's just a very influential person

  • Mar 30, 2021

    yeah he started it

i mean ofc kendrick would say pac is revolutionary because he was revolutionary to him. But you don't a***yze revolution off impact on singular individuals. There has to be a change or shift that we can qualitatively or quantitively see on some structure.

The iphone was revolutionary, streaming is revolutionary, the internet is revolutionary, hip hop is revolutionary, but pac himself isn't cause he didn't overthrow or reinvent the wheel

would you agree that a shift begins with one person and can transfer from person to person?
