When I was your age I had no grounds to speak on classic music in such a way. I could never listen to the Carpenters or ABBA and have the same type of disrespect that you youngings have for today’s music scene that YOUR are a part of!

My mother watched The Beatles in bits and pieces when I was growing up, who really believes my mother has ANY reverence for today's Beatles? Whatever she might think about Beatles we cannot compare her to today's fans because my mother listened to her entire life as do we all. My sister Anna (an advocate for our favored cause) has his memories and likes them! It is called having an open mind and being open.

Look guys, honestly. If you get pissed off on one album then do something else if you feel you are unable to enjoy music today like mine were! Give it a bit of a rest then sit back, give it time and you'll have your voice back and its ready to be heard again!

Most young groups seem like wannabes that have no real talent and most of the time need the help of others and alcohol to be able to play shows or even make it through the night!

There are a lot of artists around who I was a fan of growing up, but these days I'd love to hear their music. But they're choosing not to show their face and music these days, and I think that it's bullshit.

Now I know a little more about classic music ’the Sixties and Seventies, NOFX, Saves the Day, Deerhoof, Yngwie Malmsteen, the Rolling Stones. I love all of that music, but to have such disdain for it for the sake of my personal taste is just not me at all! I don't go to a skatepark and start parading around to old ABBA songs and goa like such a s*** man!

I could never think about making ANY money out of playing music and if I did, it was all done on my own time. Then the 20 year old me was sucked into it like a vacuum and to this day, 20 years on, I still do not know how to make any money from music. Until I got started in 1975! That's when I started playing the business of music myself. Actually, a decade earlier, in 1966, I was a song writer & producer for a TV show called “Way of the Falsetto”!

I was the 'song writer'… it was the basis for a lot of the comedic skits I've done over the years. So I knew my way around music business and at the time I started to become more interested with the marketing and talent building aspects of music.
In an era before TV, you could still come up with a plan to make music yourself, but of course, in those days there were no digital machines that would store your songs or any sort of art for them.
