Okay update. Ive been riding for about few weeks now.

This is the funniest hobby ever lol. Anytime i feel down i just ride and 5 mins in u forget everything. Just you, and the machine in the wind Wild feeling.

I ended up going with thenKRT edition Ninja 300 instead of the R3 inwas planning to buy.

Bro those 300's are goated beginner bikes. You got some gear to wear when u riding?

Bro i won so big. I got one with 1600km on it, 2 helmets, 2 jackets and tools for 3.8k. Lmao. So i wear jeans and a motorcycle jacket.

They are sport touring so the seat so comfortable.

Right on bro thats a nice deal. Cop some gloves too forsure and think about getting some type of boots with a little protection. I have a pair of Forma boots that kinda just look like hightop sneakers, they're pretty comfortable and look decent. Got em for $100 iirc. I still just wear jeans tho.

Where in SoCal bruh? I'm in OC, dad had 3 bikes for a while so we'd cruise a lot, always felt really safe. Stick to highways and low-density streets when you can and you're fine

This city’s going to be pretty much perfect for riding imo at any time other than summer when it’s packed outside, but regardless I live right down the street from PCH and really want to just enjoy those sunrise & sunset rides soon That’s super dope your pops had 3 bikes, going on rides with my dad when I was younger (he’s got an 85 Harley Electra Glide) was always my favorite

Lmao I'm legit like down the street from you, down in Costa. You're right next to PCH so you're so golden, he and I would ride down towards Laguna and Dana, then back up towards Irvine-Tustin and down the 55. Gorgeous ride, and you can make different routes going off of that.

Oh another thing, think about wearing ear-plugs if ur gonna do highway rides or longer rides. My dad has permanent hearing damage cuz he didn't do that when he was younger and he also has a constant ringing in his ears. Spooky s***.

I can't even go for a short ride without em anymore, they make it so much nicer to ride imo.

It is pretty tight, but I’m 50/50 on it being legal only because I’ve seen it encourage some dumbass behavior with people who don’t pay attention. this one time a few years back when I was a passenger in a car, I was on PCH (if you know what that street is, massive coastal highway in CA) and all the traffic broke & stopped for us to yield, but this one fat ass mfn Larry the Cable Guy looking dude on a dope Triumph came splitting thru and hit us at a FAST speed bro. Went flying over the car, completely totaled the drivers ‘68 VW Squareback (My face was literally five inches from the handlebars when he impacted us/my window was down so no glass broke). Somehow, his triumph looked ABSOLUTELY PERFECT still, and apparently he only suffered a bit tongue on scene. The headlight didn’t even bust If I remember correctly after that, it solidified that a Triumph was the kinda bike I needed to get one day. Ultimately lane splittings a benefit forsure as a rider but others do scare me know bc of that incident

It's best used at a slow speed during packed highway traffic or filtering to the front at stop lights. Heck even here in New Mexico where it's illegal I filter to the front of lights because I've seen videos of bikers getting rear ended at stop light and getting crushed between the cars. I'll take a ticket over that easy. Plus I feel a cop might understand and let me off anyway idk.

And man I would love to cruise the PCH and those twisty mountain roads y'all got. We got some nice roads here in NM too, especially the road that goes to the crest of the Sandia Mountains. It's nicely maintained and so twisty. I'll throw on my tracksuit every now and then and absolute bomb that s*** fast as hell. Even get my knee down sometimes

But yea triumphs are goated especially the speed and street triples. The engine note of that 3 cylinder is undefeated.

Most definitely I think the cop would at least know where you’re coming from if you explained that, it’s a scary thought being a biker surrounded by cars & drivers who aren’t always paying the best attention. Can’t trust anybody on the road! And one day man, you definitely gotta send out here and hit the scenic routes along the way. I myself still am waiting for that day, there’s a lot here I’ve yet to see but would love to. I forsure gotta send to NM with my buddy when we’re both riding, that sounds nice AF out there
