I’ve noticed I spend way too much time on my phone specifically Instagram because you can scroll forever and look at butts all day
Being stuck in a pandemic for a year definitely made me overly reliant on my phone for communication, dopamine, and entertainment. But it’s not healthy to spend 8 hours a day staring at my screen.
Luckily I start a new job tomorrow and I’ve been reconnecting with irl friends now that things have been opening up.
I hope this keeps me busy and that the black and white filter will reset my dopamine response. I notice I reach for my phone even if I don’t have any notifications.
I will try this out for 2 weeks. Sharing this in case anyone wants to join me
did this for a bit whenever i went out to stop myself from looking at my phone for no reason out of habit like we all do.
id take it out of my pocket and it would be black and white and that would remind me to put that s*** away and enjoy being out
