i work at a restaurant, but i’m not a server. The servers really need those tips. they barely
make $2.50 an hour without tips, and they have to tip other workers in the restaurant (food runners, bussers) regardless of whether they get tipped. The tipping system is terrible but as long as it’s there, please tip your server (as long as they weren’t a jerk to you)

i’m not saying you have to do a full 20% everytime, but if they’re working hard please at least leave them something.

that’s a good idea, but unfortunately that’s not how most restaurants work
so like you don't tip even if the service is decent because you don't agree with tipping culture?
You realize that does nothing but f*** the staff right?
First page looking like a bunch of broke bozos
Cook for yourself at home if you’re not gonna tip the waitstaff
I don't tip on pick up because that's nonsense but if you're at the bar or at a table throw something like Jesus Christ
that’s a good idea, but unfortunately that’s not how most restaurants work
nah f*** tip splitting
Tip your waitstaff
Tip your delivery driver
This applies always but especially during covid
Last time for a long time I must add. Don’t really agree with tipping culture. Just add a gratituity charge and be done with it
just pay your employees and be done with it*
Quality of service will determine the tip nobody entitled to S***
But you’re entitled to service that aligns to your parameters ?
You have a kitchen at home I’m sure

I always tip. Good or bad service, I don’t really care. People are just trying to get by.
