Always felt like the Whedon one didn't hit like that lmaoo and I never even read reviews or nothing lol
I never saw it cause MOS and SS weee mid but considering watching all 4 extended/new cuts. I know originally the story arc for Spider-Man was supposed to be man of steel —> BvS —> justice league trilogy

Kinda.
Back in the day around the time MoS was going to drop Zack made it seem like 'We're doing our thing and WB is going to do their thing" because it seemed like we were gonna have 2 Superman stories. One by Zack and the Justice League plan by WB then I guess it got consolidated to compete with Avengers
70 million
snyder cut gang won so hard. convinced WB to sink in that much money to a movie that already flopped. this should've been the oceans 11 reboot
Is it weird that I only want Snyder to be directing Cavill as Superman? I really dig Snyder's take on Superman but feel if WB gave Cavill to other directors, they'll just do some cheesy, 1960's, unrealistic version of Superman

After Man of Steel, I need that Synder and Cavill connection if they do a sequel you feel me .
That’s the gold standard for me idc . That’s my Superman

Exactly, the visuals Snyder brings is like no other. Everyone is familiar with Snyder's Superman story right now. Don't see any other story types working yet
Honestly this generation needs a light hearted Superman film
They've tried the "he's too powerful we don't trust him" thing like 3 times and it hasn't worked well enough to do what Spider Man (2002) or Iron Man (2008) has done for those respective franchises where they spark enough interest for a whole trilogy because they made a fun superhero movie lol
Everything is super deep and consequential with Superman nigga always sad and overthinking man up nigga u shoot lasers out ur eyes

Itd work if Superman was the unwavering heart of the movies. Superman isn't optimistic and hopeful because he's naive. He's optimistic and hopeful despite the gloomy or cynical world around him.
Granted its fine if he doubts himself but they make Lois Lane his heart and soul when Clark Kent is the heart and soul.
Nigga supposed to be having Optimus Prime Captain America tier speeches.

I think Snyder was always working to this point but he wanted us to grow with Cavill's Supes before he becomes the boy scout we normally associate with him.
I need some big boi superhero movies with realistic fights. Not mfs getting concussed by a beam and lying dead for 30mins

not the same movie...

I'm always on the fence about that view now. I understand that people grow in different ways and that Snyder wanted this Clark to grow in that way.
But in the comics, he had that optimistic mindset pretty early on and even had the compassion for criminals even before becoming the idealized version of Superman.
The growth comes from his wisdom and experience and troubleshooting the issues he faces.
Granted in MoS we get a few nods of why he does what he does and what he believes it but its mostly people talking at him.
Snyders got a lot of stuff in there you can build off of but he needs to just tap into it

That was the intention after a while, I think somewhere in a interview back when the Snyder cut looked stupid to talk about he said we would have seen that Superman can be a multi-dimensional human through experience, and that takes some time
Dont know if these been posted yet, but f*** it

You capping if you say this ain't the BEST Batman put to screen
