Same as what? The 2017? If so no. Snyder filmed this, left the film, then Whedon reshot a lot of material with a small budget on top of maybe 30-40 min of Snyder’s shots and then they released it

It’s best to just take this as a new thing especially since it’s hours longer

The premise is similar but a lot of the plot points might change like Superman’s resurrection for sure and how they fight and defeat the enemy. Also we get everyone’s full backstories

without any of the stuff joss whedon shot for the 1st version and 2.5 hours of new footage

I'm very much interested to see it as the theatrical was total trash.

That said hbo must not have much confidence in it if they re just dropping it as a monster 4 hr movie instead of milking it as a weekly mini series
