The green screen visuals in this actually look pretty interesting and no where as bland and soulless as the one in Whedons version. Every shot legit looks like a cgi painting. S***s on the MCU already
i mean realistically how much different can it be from the original? it's not like the actors/actresses went back last year to shoot more scenes. a couple of extended/deleted scenes, different color grading and some cgi changes will make the movie maybe 10% different from the original release
Supposedly Whedon only kept 30 minutes of the 4 hours that Snyder filmed. And Snyder has done reshoots on top of the unseen 3 and a half hours.
What’s with the uptick in negativity all of a sudden?
We not on that s*** no more man it’s not 2021 just enjoy CBM content or ignore it. Real ones taking all they can get. Like y’all really still on that DC vs Marvel s***??
It’s one thing to just think the trailer is bad but going at people who are hyped for this??? Like this cut is only possible because of fan hype.

People have been hating on DC since BvS and can’t let it go unfortunately

Can’t imagine still having that hate in me smh. Snyder really got dudes tight yet again
Worst part is it’s all the people who had stayed away from the thread cus we were all hyped for it and now they’re coming in not knowing what the film actually is since they ducked the thread for so long. All of the “they can’t add anything to make it better” or “what’s this going to do” comments are May 2020 tier

extreme Snyder hate only exists on the internet. I think overall there’s more people who casually like his films than don’t. BvS and maybe Sucker Punch were the only ones to be universally panned.

This is true even outside the Snyder stuff. I think people fell in love with the narrative. Like even the "good" DC movies like Shazam/WW/BOP get called "Alright". I guarantee when The Suicide Squad comes out and is good people will say it was only good 'cause they brought in a Marvel director
I’ve seen grown men getting excited for a Sonic movie just because they changed his design. y’all need to have a seat being this pretentious.
put some respect on the chili dog eating goat

I didn’t think Shazam was amazing or anything but it was cute. Marvel can release bland mid tier films like Ant Man and still have it be praised as above average.
Birds of Prey was considered terrible by allot of people but it still had a visual style and tone that stood out.
DCU isn’t perfect, they’re not dropping amazing every year but neither is Marvel. There’s clearly a bias.
Also Aquaman >>>>> Thor, Homecoming, Far From Home, Captain Mid, Ant Man and the other mid Marvel films I can’t remember
Homecoming being praised as the definitive Spider Man film was embarrassing. MCU made Peter Parker less relatable if anything and lowered the stakes.

Yeah like i'm not trying to portray DC like they're just throwing out amazing movies but when they do release good movies people try to downplay them

even their non CW tv division gets downplayed. Doom Patrol and the Harley Quin show should be allot more popular than they are.
Doom Patrol is just as “weird” as Wandavision.

Suprisingly the HQ show has a lot of buzz on Twitter lol. Like clips from the show always have like 10k RTs when they past by my tl. Agreed with DP, though I blame it more on the DCU stresming service being so niche that literally only people who are comics fans would watch it. I'm hoping that now it's on HBOMax it'll finally get some goddamn recognition

Shazam was better received than ant-man.
Birds of Prey was trash imo - only saving grace was margot and ewan (audiences seemed to like it tho)
It will never not be funny to see how mad people are at the MCU’s success
Who's mad at the MCU's success
call em out
At some point you have to get rid of the hate boner man. Let the people enjoy what they enjoy without trying to s*** on something else. Makes discussing both of the franchises much more enjoyable
I think it's pretty apparent that most of the movie going audience just doesn't give a f*** about style, visuals, themes, symbolism, etc. if you don't create characters the audience can connect to. Snyder fans can hype up the visuals, the allegories in his films, and all the unique traits that he brings and how his take isn't generic but none of that matters.
The consensus is that Marvel is just better at creating relatable characters that you can connect to regardless of how many movies people consider garbage or mid.

The irony when randoms came in here to say, "this s*** looks trash, nothing different from the theatrical one"
