i don't like them because media journalism about cinema is a big part of what studios look at when considering what kind of art they want to finance at the smaller budget level. So their s***ty takes hurts cinema tbh

there were complaints about the length but that wasn't just because it was that long, it was because the pacing was insanely slow for a lot of people

and idk seems like unique circumstances for reviews. like we all know it was filmed 5 years ago. Feel like it could get a bump for being better than the original as a standard. Honestly reviews really won't matter in the end

They sure mattered back in the day when it caused the execs to have a heart attack and tear not only justice league but also suicide squad and to shreds, tried to do the same with wonder woman cuz they were literally scared the No Man's Land sequence was "too dark", director literally had to fight to keep the best and most acclaimed action scene in the movie, and as a compromise had to redo the ending and have thst ares fight, by far the worst reviewed aspect of the movie

The reviews matter, but obviously the views, it trending and hbo subscriptions matter most

The difference: this isn't on WB anymore its an HBO Max original. Its the original, full idea of a movie we were supposed to get over 3 years ago, not a new release that execs are heavily reliant on for their future slate. There's no box office numbers or anything here. Like this is the one thing that doesn't matter much because its the most unique release we've for a CBM. its a unique review cus first it has to be compared to JL 2017

unless something crazy happens, WB isn't looking at Zack for future DCEU films. At best HBO Max keeps him along for work on their service and streamers only care about numbers

Critics don't bother me for the most part. Good reviews or bad I have never gone to see what a critic has said.

What I dislike is when critics have so much power they influence the next flick. I mean it can be a double edged sword. But critics of MoS destruction had them put 2 lines about the area being uninhabited in BvS
