Snyder shot his movie, was almost 4 hours in rough cut form. When he stepped down due to death of daughter and being sick of fighting with the studio over everything they tool advantage and reshot almost the whole thing other than like half an hour of footage with changed context because the studio wanted to move away from snyders plots and style and make a light and fluffy avengers movie. So this is his original movie with the special effects finished and like 1 or 2 new scenes he shot recently that he wasn't able to shoot before leaving/being replaced by whedon. No whedon footage
