In all honesty you have to big up Warner Brothers for this, despite doing Snyder dirty, to allow any director to have his vision realized and put forth further investment into in spite of him putting out what are considered mediocre underperforming films, to allow him that is commendable. Shoes they really are the studio that is willing to take risks.

mad respect to wb but snyder was treated like a spoiled child by them. near full creative control for 300, watchmen, sucker punch, mos, bvs. should have put production on jl on hold til after bvs. how could anyone not see that was going to be a major s*** show

sucker punch ending wasn’t changed that much, always felt that’s been overblown. there’s always going to be pushback with execs too. You don’t get to make mos and especially bvs (Nolan stepped away, head of wb film gave snyder carte blanche and was fired for it) without having major pull. Especially when all of his movies since watchmen have been tentpole releases and they’ve been met with lukewarm box office and critical reception at best.
