I wonder what would have happened if Snyder finished what he had planned. Cause it's definitely similar to infinity war and endgame. Might have been alot of argument about who stole from who

Same tbh. But recently I’ve been watching YouTube edits of like ‘all the worst whedon reshoot scenes/lines in Justice League’ and man it really really is even worse than we remember lmfao

Same. I knew the Whedon cut was trash but I had forgotten how trash and was curious to remember. Didn't want to go through the pain of watching the whole movie and just checked out some clips on YouTube and it honestly shocked me how bad it was.

Just finished watching Man of Steel. Still a 7/10 the same score from my last watch few years ago.

    Pros:

    • Zod was a great villain. The film always got more exciting when he or his goons was around. Don't know how rated he is in the CBM world but since I hardly here talk about him I'd say he's underrated.

    • I liked the ideological differences of both Zod and Jo-el. I think Zod had the more sensible one and I f***ed with it. It was very warrior-like while Jo-el's was naive. Man really thinks humans and super powered aliens can grow and live in the same planet in harmony. Also understandable since he's never lived with us

    • The fight choreography i think was good. Thought it was befitting of the strength of Supes and the Kryptonians

    • Superman killing Zod was a wonderful scene

    • I liked Cavill as Superman and his costume is one of the best in the CBM world

    Cons:

    • Clark's back story was pretty mid. Had some stereotypes and was a bit boring. I still found Jonathan's death to be stupid. Could have done much better with this. Movie really kicked off when Zod arrived

    • Those zoom shots made the film look amateurish for a few seconds

    • There were a few lines that sounded really cliche but the actors did their best with delivery to try make it less cringe

    • A few times it looked like the film jumped a few scenes. I'm sure there's a 6-hour cut somewhere

    • Alot of civilians died in that fight. I'd let that slide though since they kind of addressed it in BvS but It definitely looked like there were way more deaths than what BvS explained.

    • This last point is more of what I felt that the direction of the film should have gone. I think the people of earth trusted Superman too quickly. One of the commander goes "This man is not our enemy". I mean I get that he just saved some lives and fought the bad guys but this man is still an alien and a mystery, he's still as strong as a god, and if it weren't for him coming to your planet none of this would have happened in the first place. He's more of a potential threat than an ally This was Bruce's thinking in BvS but I feel it should have extended to a lot more people on their view of Superman. While others see him as god like. (I think that's what happened in BvS but the final 30 mins of MoS just didn't give me that impression)

Still a solid film overall. BvS up next

i dont think anyone thinks superman is to be trusted except a handful of people in the american military that survive mos

i think the communication to the public that superman saved the earth from genocide by zod happens after the timeskip that opens bvs.

wayne has no idea what is happening as the events occur, and it is his first exposure to the idea of superman. for him in that moment its two aliens 9/11'ing multiple city blocks

most come out after the films out, the ones prior are usually just critics that see it before everyone

I’m so excited for Thursday. Three of my most anticipated movies out this year. Snyder cut, in the heights and Space Jam 2.

Really happy with the reception this films gotten so far. Zac seems like such a great character in interviews.

Besides dark Knight, Raimi trilogy and into the spiderverse, the 2 dceu Snyder films are peak cbm for me,.

    About to rewatch BvS:UE
