and the thing is that most of the MCU movies aren't even fun. Its fun if you go wacky or creative like what Raimi did with his Spider Mans or even Gunn with the Guardians movies, but so many of the MCU movies either feel like b******ized Nolan attempts like the Capt America movies or just stale, boring cringe propagandist s*** like Capt marvel or Black Panther

but yeah, its sad because it does feel like the mcu has prompted most studios to just make s*** that feels like an mcu movie now. Shazam and Aquaman were basically that tbh.

Marvel ruined the idea of what "fun" is. Marvel's "fun" is entirely artificial, you must add constant quips and poke fun at over the top sci-fi/fantasy elements so we can be more accessible to people who don't care for either. It's so lazy and it's infected every other blockbuster.

as much as I like The Last Jedi the scene where Po makes a your mama joke in a scene where Hux is giving an over the top speech is so cringe. I've had people try to defend it saying every Star Wars film has had humor which is true but it was all situational & not once did any of the comedic moments stop the entire film to tell a joke. I'd rather see R2D2 do cutsey s*** in the prequels than hear Marvel quips in a blockbuster.

Bro all the marvel movies follow the same formula! these mfs don't get it. I'm not tryna come off like a Marvel hater or anything, because i love a lot of their old comic runs, and well...because they do have some gems... but it's not anything genre defining, or mind-blowing. I think Snyder trying to do something different, and to incorporate his style into a CBM is just amazing, and it pisses me off when people hate on that type of creativity, just because they want quippy jokes and mfs dancing off to save the universe and s***
