I hate that the Bruce/Hulk dynamic was done so right in the first Avengers then they just squandered it
The idea of “I’m always angry” is such a fresh take on the character with so much potential...then poof nothing. Ruffalo was the right blend of charming and constantly on edge like classic Banner and he’s lowkey a joke in the MCU afterwards (I like Prof Hulk but still)
I’d go as far to say he should’ve been the center character of the sequel to The Avengers, rather than what we got in AOU
I mean Lee’s Hulk kinda ends the same way with him accepting and learning to manage his anger as well. It’s just we never got to see that angle explored afterwards.
I always loved Ang Lee’s Hulk because he made Bruce’s road to acceptance more emotional by tying his anger to trauma. Instead of Hulk simply just being a release for him because he struggles to show anger and be aggressive, it’s a release of rage he’s had building from the childhood trauma he’s been repressing. He’s buried his trauma so far deep in the back of his mind that whenever he starts to remember he has an anxiety attack and it’s not until he’s able to transform to the Hulk that he’s able to release all that anger. Becoming the Hulk becomes a therapeutic experience for him.
Therapeutic cinema at its finest. 👌🏽

Childhood classic. I love that therapeutic aspect Lee explored you’re talking about as well. Makes the comic aspects of the Banner/Hulk relationship more meditative
The execution of Lee’s Hulk is way off but I’ve always admired that quality about it

He got some things right, granted I only have basic knowledge of the Hulk in the comics but you gradually see Hulk get bigger and stronger throughout the movie.
He’s barely able to heal from having his arm burnt to a crisp in endgame.

Yeah endgame got that wrong lol. Hulk grows in size the angrier he gets and has a quick healing factor
Making the film black and white adds nothing bruh
Only takes away colors which makes the film look worse visually
Justice is grey
Yeah foh Snyder doing too much wit that
It’s just a version of the film fans can see if they want lol let make just have his moment and do whatever he wants
It’s not like it’s gonna be a main version or that most of us are gonna be forced to watch
Like only a minority ever watch those versions of films it’s just bonus s***
Lmao nah yo seeing them Knightmare scenes in Black and White might be hard on some graphic novel s***

yea that s*** confused me lmao so like is MCU Hulk outta commission for the future?? What happened to the healing factor
Justice is Grey has extra scenes too
Wait fr?
Get out of here with that s***.
Nah there's a conspiracy
another hitpiece
https://twitter.com/voxdotcom/status/1374379871317544965bruh this is so gross. Whedon was only mentioned twice in this article about harassment with WB
Just playing lol
Tacked on black and white doesn't make a film better and adding scenes seems like a ploy to get people to just watch that version.
No hard feelings btw

Didn't Mad Max Fury Road had a black white version and it looked good for fans?
