Ok so how Jerad Marantz explained it is that its basically just a shape repeated throughout brushstrokes. So I made my own shape and drew it on the body of one of my pre-existing bodies.
It was real quick just to show what its like then slapped a material on there and lit it up. Nothing fancy. Obviously they put way more thought and love into their design.

finished rewatch of ZSJL and man. this movie just gets better and better each time I watch it. it’s actually insane — I love picking up on details I might have missed before. definitely the best DCEU film thus far.

A non-profit fan-made project titled "The Dreamscapes of Justice League: A Motion Comic" is in the works, and will set out to adapt the storyboards Snyder created with Jim Lee.
There's no mention of Snyder being officially involved in any way, and we're assuming that the team working on this project - podcasters turned directors Matthew Miranda and Maroof Husain - plan to write the dialogue themselves based on the vague outlines the filmmaker created.
The motion comic will be released later this year, with the plan being to support the #RestoreTheSnyderVerse movement and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. "The Dreamscapes of Justice League: A Motion Comic" will feature new original art by Mariano De Venezia and VFX artist Luis Bedregal.
