Not everything can be blamed on WB and dc when he is choosing to use their characters and money though bro . Wachowskis had hella studio interferences and problems on set forced to film back to back yet everyone just says “ sequels s***” . He has access to all dc characters given a huge budget . Sets record for amount of ad money in films . This the first of the trilogy that spends more time not just being like “ it’s set in reality “ and actually takes times to create these environments only to have all set pieces be on gears of war dlc maps

They are saying mother boxes and Superman wouldn’t behead him . I think it’s undeniable that final fight weak but part of the reason is cavill didn’t film any additional scenes and back when Snyder did film I feel like plans for future were much different to the point Superman has a no kill rule

The biggest problem the matrix sequels had is that the studio DIDNT interfere. Wachowskis had no clout on the first one so most of their more stupid ideas got axed.

Since 1 was so big the studio let them throw in all this useless s*** no one but them cares about like the 2+ hours and countless millions spent in boring ass zion

Like Snyder had it easy compared to wachowskis…. And still fumbled besides JL set had baby sitters of John’s and hamada . He was friends or trusted John’s at a point then got backstabbed . The choices he made in bvs are worse than anything in reloaded to me

Thanks to the directors. Studio gave them carte Blanche for quite a while it took both Jupiter ascending and that weirdo movie with Tom hanks and Halle berry flopping for the studio to finally reign them in
