Ultimate. So he lures Superman to the desert via Lois Lane to frame him for those deaths, and buys a confession from the African lady, setting the stage for Batman's extra motivation aside from all the carnage in the opening.

Why do Batman and Superman need to kill each other? I understand that Superman is forced because Martha is taken hostage but why does Lex want this? It's his motivation that I'm not following

Lex does it so that they both essentially kill each other. So he can be that person that “god bows down too”. I mean it’s an ego thing too. Clearly he had both in the palm of his hand. It’s about power for Lex. I DONT think he was banking on Doomsday being so out of his control, but basically Batman kills Supes and Doomsday offs Bats

Lex wanted the “power” Supes had, and essentially had Supes in his pocket by all of the manipulation by the end of it

Having Doomsday as a wildcard was not very smart. Him playing around with technology from Krypton without understanding the full repercussions of what he' was doing was off.

Well I mean the doomsday part of obv the weakest part of his plan. He thought he could control doomsday and obv that wasn’t the case. So I agree there. But I mean…. Everything leading to that point was pretty masterful
