MoS underperformed considering the reviews,general audience dislike and the fact it was at the time more expensive then Avengers and almost as expensive as TDKR but did FAR less money then both.

I think if the reviews had been good it would've a different story but MoS was all around a massive underperformer and it freaked out WB.

People complain about WB being so involved in BvS but forget Man Of Steel second week drop off was almost the same level of Green Lantern with Ryan Reynolds that movie didn't do nearly as good as it should've.

Another underperfomer but he won out by having a mostly positively received film. Kinda crazy how underwhelming the box office was tho with the hype.

Corona fears were worse last year and people still saw Fast 9 which almost did the same numbers and Spiderman.

People went to see what they REALLY wanted it just wasn't that and I think it was cause it really didn't do anything new for audiences to latch onto it was just more dark Batman and I think audiences are passed that

You can't keep recycling the same villains and relationships with these characters and expect audiences to show up like it's new.
