  • Boyd and Raylan one of the best love hate bromances ever put on TV

I really enjoy everything he's in. He always stands out to me. He was hilarious in Vice Principals.

agreed...earlier on he kind of got typecast in the cocky hillbilly roles so I love when he gets to stretch his legs and do different s***...his Vice Principals character is so ridiculous and weird lol

    Boyd Crowder the GOAT
Raylan was pretty cool as well. Love this show, such a fun story and never took itself too serious. Easy to breeze through and rewatch as well.

did you take any issue with how Boyd was handled in the final season?...I mean I love the series too but feel like Boyd had evolved so much as a character throughout the series and then they kinda just backtracked and reverted to making him a straight up POS killing innocent ppl needlessly and whatnot...was actually kind of bummed he didn't die by Raylan's hand at the end

Wait damn maybe I don't remember the show as well as I thought.

Spoiler because they never work for me

I thought the end they teamed up and ended up going after and killing a bunch of bad dudes and then he dies helping the main guy finish them off?

Did I black out a lot of s*** or something?

nah Boyd basically goes back to his outlaw s\*\*\*...kills Dewey and at least one other innocent person (the trucker that gave him a lift) and defends it by basically saying he's an outlaw and that's what people like him do (at this point cops were already on Boyd's ass so it's not like that trucker would have been able to give them any information they could have used)...Boyd doesn't die at all he gets shot and then locked up...last scene is Raylan visiting him in prison...they do sort of team up to take out Sam Elliott's big bad character and Boyd gets shot in the process and then arrested

Duffy one of the GOAT side characters though...someone like Boyd or Mike on Breaking Bad who was just supposed to be a one episode appearance and grew into so much of a fan favorite they became a prominent character on the rest of the series

Not really tbh. It seemed like everything did always seemed to backfire on him in some way, so seeing him revert back to what he does best didn’t really surprise me. I see your point though, I just had never really considered it much. I was kinda surprised it didn’t end with Raylan killing him though.

I really just hated him killing the trucker dad...shit was unnecessarily cruel and in the end was rather pointless considering he got caught shortly after...wouldn't have minded it if the character had been more consistent in previous seasons but seemed like after season 1 he became more of an antihero idk

That Raylan/Boyd dynamic was so great so would definitely like him back for this, although they could opt for a different angle of course.

I mean Boyd should still be in prison unless he manages to break out (again) but could see Raylan visiting him at some point if Goggins schedule doesn't allow a full return

but yeah a cameo in prison could definitely work if Goggins isn't available or interested in a full time role. But it's not the same, of course. Anyway, we'll see. Pretty surprised by this news, would not expect it

I had heard about FX wanting to adapt the novel but it wasn't clear at that point if it was greenlight or if Olyphant was reprising his role as Raylan...hopefully it'll be good I'm gonna give the series a rewatch

yeah he was pretty green at the start of The Shield but he gets better as it goes on and those last few seasons especially he's a highlight on the acting side of things...but yeah he's awesome in Justified lol

Yeah for sure. And he got his time to shine in the series from season 5 to 7 and did kill it but as we both say, he's just on insane form during Justified. Like honestly one of my favorite acting performances

2 is my favorite...3 is also really good...I like the other seasons also but the storylines in those two and characters introduced were great...Bennett Family are great antagonists for Raylan and Boyd then you get Quarles and Limehouse in S3...Duffy prly my favorite character though...mans hilarious and a survivor
