No deluxes (except FATD finally), never any bundles, weird as hell rollouts that are super scatty, never digital albums/singles (almost every artist does this now), features with mostly bums etc. You don't hit up people like Latto & Thug if you want numbers

He just announced a collab album with PND of all people lol, I don't think PND is a top 100 artist in the US based on numbers

They think just because he's always put up numbers, that somehow means he's obsessed with them. On the contrary, Drake's career is littered with numerous examples of him butchering releases/not promoting s*** enough/at all, never engaging in industry-wise smoke and mirrors tactics to make his numbers appear bigger.

RIP to Mac Miller, there's something he said in a 2014 interview that my mind always goes back to whenever this topic comes up. In it, he speaks on "doing as Drake does" when it comes to dropping music and he describes how Drake simply drops his music and dips, never forcing anything down anyone's throat marketing/promotion-wise. That's how Drake has always moved. Nothing has really changed.

It's too many Drake fans who consistently complain about how much he's sabotaged himself and his releases for the takes around Drake to still be "he's numbers-obsessed" simply because he drops music frequently or because said music usually performs well commercially.

SOD is so catchy and with Yachty cut, possibly a new Drake verse to replace it, and a video I predict this will be the record breaking #1 we've been waiting for. The top 10 is stagnant and that tipsy country remix is at it's peak. The people are ready for a big artist to drop the last summer anthem before Fall starts next month and this could be that song

Drake is still Drake. No one can name another time an artist dropped 3 free songs on their own website and had one of them debut at #28. Not even Taylor Swift has done something like that, she's always had to charge and needed a full tracking week. Drake did that and he didn't have to drop on a normal Friday like everyone else. Bro woke up and said let the kids have the music on a Tuesday on his own dime
