@safe thank you for the awesome threads, I’m not sure how to pm on here but I’d really appreciate if you could give me some feedback. I’m trying to be independent and I’ve been turning down whatever deals I’ve gotten since they’ve been awful. Thank you again for all of the advice on here. We all appreciate it for real

    yessir I got you

listened to a bunch - some of the ones in OP, some of the ones later itt and a couple from clouds on apple music

its really good you're a talented ass dude
I really like the cover art and whole vibe of clouds as a project - added it to my library and I'll definitely be spinning it the next few days
you got a really interesting sound thats both unique and of the moment which is perfect. I like the short song vibe - its smart in terms of streaming and reminds me of people like Kota the friend and Tierra whack

basically the music is great. its on a way higher level than your popularity reflects which is actually what you want cause you have a ton of space to grow

if you're getting offered deals at all you should look at getting a manager. I can get you in contact with a guy I know at UTA but what's most important is that you trust and believe in what the manager is telling you. definitely make sure you know your s*** industry wise so if the manager is telling you to sign with a major you know yourself if its a good decision or not cause a lot of big management firms have a boner for major labels even if it comes at the cost of the artist. also start to promote your music to labels yourself - especially indie labels like XL, Dirty Hit, Mind of a Genius etc a lot of these labels have management firms baked into them and indie deals are massively more favorable

definitely start promoting more. look at this thread ktt2.com/the-ultimate-guide-to-blowing-up-in-2020-safe-81080 and do a bunch of the stuff here. make sure you get verified on Spotify and stuff, make sure you have tidy social medias etc. basically imagine if a song blew up tomorrow - is your internet presence what you want it to be

also TikTok. use tiktok! idc if you hate it because it does not matter.
read this article - this is maybe the most important thing im saying itt but rollingstone.com/music/music-features/tai-verdes-stuck-in-the-middle-1031571

this is a dude - his tiktok @ is @taiverdes. He has a song called stuck in the middle thats super catchy and a vaguely similar vibe to parts of your music. he basically did an almost sob story type thing and made a video about how hes been grinding music and success hasn't been happening and he'd love if you listened to his song. theres a bunch of artists doing similar s*** on tiktok and you should try something similar to get a song out there. pick a song thats catchy and danceable and pick the most catchy 15 seconds of it to use as an audio. basically plan this s*** out carefully - ESPECIALLY your first video because the tiktok algorithm pushes accounts first videos super hard

also just a couple more things - your Apple Music metadata for clouds is f***ed up I think - the cover art doesnt show up for songs. try fix that - it might just be my s*** bugging out but other songs are working. also the mixing on the twitter songs above needs a little work its a little aggressive on the ears but the rest is well mixed

sorry this ended up being kinda long but you're someone I can see really moving up quickly - you should talk to @Mitchell if he has time at some point - hes been super successful with what hes done musically and now has like 140k monthly listeners and is signed to dirty hit

but yea I love this you're doing an amazing job on the product end (music, videos etc) now you just need to put the grind in on promoting it

very last thing im gonna say is get your s*** on playlists. learn to pitch music (theres some links in that thread) and email curators of playlists that have 10k+ followers and pitch your music to them. dont go for 1m+ follower playlists - start with smaller ones that fit closely with the song you're pitching. get on a few of those and your music will start to pick up steam from that alone

good luck! and lmk if you have any more questions or anything im happy to help this is great stuff
