Heard this for the first time yesterday, man this sounds so f***ing good, how can something this nice just be scrapped and unfinished

Common came thru with the fye verses, JB sounds heavenly on the hook

Will have to listen to this. The film version of the album was much better than the real album or any of the listening events

I've stopped trying to understand most of artists tbh
most of them are biased towards scrapping their best songs for some reason

Artists make so much demos he might just have legitimately forgot about this

I’m not making a one to one comparison because obviously one is finished and one isn’t

But the selection of tracks and sequencing is so much better and more coherent on the film version, which really shouldn’t be the case considering how rough it is, but it still comes together thematically and musically much better as a whole than the final Donda

I prefer the Hurricane and God Breathed mixes over the released ones easily. Just way fresher and more unique than the radio song and diet Yeezus song we got respectfully

10,000 acres is the best song of the sessions, if I was Ye I would’ve dropped that as is

I liked the way Alien was edited too. That version of the album feels much more alive and experimental compared to Donda which can feel sterile sonically and doesn’t take as many chances with the production

Overall I just enjoyed the choices made in the editing, the Donda interludes fit so much better and allowed the themes of her and the religious stuff to connect more seamlessly. It’s like hearing easily the best leak compilation and I think a finished version of this would’ve been better yeah

I agree with the interludes. I like hearing Donda’s voice a lot more here and they transition very well. The production choices are also great but I love how dark he switched them too. Like the Hurricane we got is actually a masterpiece to me. God Breathed improved too cause that s*** on here sounds like pots and pans lmfao

I liked the vibe we got on this version and it would have been nice if he finished it though so I see where you’re coming from
