This is the same guy who made MBDTF and The College Dropout. I'm sure if he actually sat down and dedicated himself to music again, choosing to collaborate with other hip hop legends like he did on those albums, maybe his new Christian music won't be too bad after all. The man revolutionized hip hop with TCD, then did it again with 808s and again with Yeezus. Maybe he'll continue to be a pioneer for Christian rap. He just needs somebody to tell him that it's possible to talk about religion on an album without having corny lines or overly simplistic "I love Jesus" repetitions, like the stuff that was on JIK. Maybe talk about why Kanye needed God, or narrate the circumstances that may lead one to religion. Do it on fire beats that people actually want to listen to in 2020. I really do think Kanye had the next great album in the bag in Yandhi, which tells me he still has greatness in him. I mean just listen to this, I would 100% listen to a Jesus-themed album if the beat was like this.

Kanye just needs the right guidance from the people around him. I'm encouraged by the fact that he seems to be collaborating with people like Tyler and Dr. Dre, hopefully they can help him make fire beats and help him come up substantive lines unlike "Man I cannot let my family starve, that's on God!"
