What's sad is that the Polish of all people should recognize that, as ethnic minorities, their attempts to assimilate into western civilization will always leave them at a level of social inferiority in that arena. They like many ethnic and/or racial minorities buy into the very system the west used to subjugate them in the first place and internalize these racial/ethnic hierarchies to try and gleam some acceptance from western civilization rather than sticking together with civilizations and peoples they have way more in common with materially simply due to skin pigmentation. Really goddamn disappointing esp considering how racially progressive E. Europe once was.
