At first I thought it was odd since he was on the first 2 BUT

They also weren’t KSG at the time so now I guess it makes sense to keep that separate.

I mean they got a whole animated series and possibly video game/album 2 on the way

hope your dreams arent crushed in 20 years when none of that s*** has been released yet

When you hear a minute of just the beat on one of these songs that is prob where kanye was supposed to rap about abortion but cudi threw it out

Good, his verses on the first 2 were low points of the albums and this was when he was still a good artist

    Terrible take

So where does Kanye Erase Me verse rank on MOTM2 for you as far as top verses and top musical moments overall? Top 10 in your opinion, a high point? Somewhere in the middle? To me it’s like blatantly the worst moment on the album with nothing else coming close

KSG was 100% curated by Kanye it shocks me how ppl say it’s a Cudi album

Not trying to sound antagonistic but I need receipts because this is Kanye stan land.

reborn is definitely from cudi but the rest is heavily inspired by kanye

i mean cudi said it by himself that the theme of the album was kanyes idea and he f***ed with it

Do you have a source? Interested in this piece of info

The video below is where Cudi says he wasn’t sure about Reborn, but Kanye went crazy for it & motivated him to put it on the album. Also, he mentions that Cudi Montage would’ve never made it if it weren’t for Kanye. Kanye insisted “I know you got some more s*** in that laptop.” Cudi had the idea for the Burn The Rain sample for the longest, but had no clue how to chop it up & sample it.

In regards to the album being curated by Kanye, this is true because Kanye produced 5 out of the 7 songs. And the other 2 Kanye had a huge hand in. If you listen to Cudi’s solo production, from 2011-2015, it is very apparent that dude can’t produce for s***. The only reason his stuff started sounding nice again was when he brought in co producers, this is why PPDS was great & KSG was a classic album. Kanye, literally, brought the MOTM era Cudi back for KSG.

You can see Kanye’s influence on every track. Also, he produced FREEE which is literally the rock sound that Cudi has tried to accomplish twice & failed. (See WZRD or SB2H Crine)

Cudi never sounded more confident rapping, in years, than he did on KSG. He said it himself that Kanye helped him bring back his moon man style.

Yeah, Cudi has some additional production credits on there but D Dot or Mike Dean definitely handled the majority on Reborn & Cudi Montage. KSG is def more a Kanye album than Cudi’s. Kanye has just gotten so good at sampling other artists (see TLOP) to express his emotions. Cudi, ofc, did a phenomenal job. But the fact we got MOTM era Cudi mixed with impeccable production , again, was all thanks to Kanye.

Except MOTM1, anyone still listen to the others cudi's album? Cause I feel like they're kinda mid. Ye or not on it, I don't think it will change anything.
Cudi has a big potential, but he doesn't exploit in the best way, IMO.

Hate to say it but I gotta agree. Outside of the 1st album, I go back to the 2nd one rarely. Everything else I praise him for has mainly been features tbh.

I just imagine a very introspective album and then Kanye comes in like “got so many acres, all the other presidential candidates are fakers, god said to stop abortion, I prayed to him and asked him to stop the extortion!!!”
