Flaphead 🎧Aug 31, 2021With modern Ye, if we get 1 or 2 fire verses on an album I'm happy. Off the top of my head I can think of Jesus Lord (!!!), Lord I Need You, Off The Grid, Ok Ok, Heaven and Hell, even Hurricane I'd say. Only one I'd put up to his classic output is Jesus Lord, but that's more than enough for me.
I come to modern Ye for his singing, the production, his curation, and the overall moments when they all come together like Come To Life. He easily delivered on that front.

People big up say Carti rapping but then say Kanye rapping is washed but to me he raps better then Carti by far.
I guess it all comes down to tier levels when it comes to skill level. Carti can rap pretty good because the tier he's in. Kanye is in a higher tier but is still average to below average because of other rappers in his tier

He's rapping pretty well on this album. I like the variety of flows he used. That said, he's a better singer than rapper rn. His singing is top notch, with or without autotune
