I guess there's the angle of they were just diss tracks so they'd both say whatever to get the diss off, which is the way I prefer to see it, despite Kendrick fans trying to act like Drake was a cancer on the industry and had all these individualistic traits that Kendrick would NEVER stand for.
It's the stans that have changing goal posts / expectations and mess up the discussion tbh, Kendrick never really said he's against all deadbeats lol.

thats it - its that simple
drake started reaching when he had more of a papertrail, he was stupid - so kendrick threw it back into his face since he tried to do it to him
and yeah, i agree, both kendrick and drake stans act like he's trying to be this ultimate virtue person of holy both for their own personal gain in online arguments positively and negatively - most of it has never came out of kendricks mouth
i do think kendrick is against most of it, but like every other person, he has his exceptions within reason and whatever nuance to an extent
