I would like to know what Kanye was thinking when working on/deciding to work on WLR with Carti. It seems worth more note than it has been given that he executively produced the album and has a guest feature. Of course, he’s given a few features to secular artists recently, and there was also the Nah Nah Nah remix. But going from a year ago retiring from secular music to now spearheading one of the most demonic and hellish trap albums in recent memory. That’s a whole different thing. Is he using a “missionary” approach by befriending the “misguided” and making a difference from within the belly of the beast (lol)? I think he has just given a co-sign to Carti. Without googling I can only say that one John Legend record with All of Me, I believe it was a project where Kanye was really involved as an executive producer. With Carti and Big Sean I tend to think that it's just for PR.
