Your experience isn’t the experience for majority. I have yet to see anyone claim folks were out there just for vibes b. Those people walking around with signs helped certain cities do things differently when it come to policing. So nah, I’m not reducing any of their foot work as vibes.

If you’re there to “make your voice heard” in a situation where you know your voice is not being considered when relevant decisions come to mind then you’re gonna end up being there for the vibes

    And that’s the reality unfortunately.

well yes but the cycle continues infinitely officers get arrested charged guilty or not some celebrate. Some wish they got the death penalty or higher time in prison. Then another police officer does the same. So some organizers called for defunding the police and reallocating the funds into the community in various ways. However that idea got chopped down to just defund the police so people were like "what are you doing with that money" and assumed that the world would look like purge with less police

When less people want to be police officers either way. Here in Chicago they are lowering the requirements to be police officers. Doing mass testing. Facing sucide rates and more

That cycle always gon happen, but imagine if these events the last decade didn't happen how much worse it would be. At least they're making slow improvements with mandatory body cams and putting fear in these cops.

You see the arrest rate or go to the protest in Chicago? Protest is only so effective. Yes awareness is something and walking in a police designated circle is something and a sense of unity or not feeling alone but it only accomplishes so much.

Even with all the protest you have Biden saying it would be dumb to defund the police so cycles continue

But with those protests we’ve seen some police departments start doing things differently so that’s a start. People saying the other option is violence and while I do see the vision, it’s not the best thing for the overall message.

People still protest different things within their small communities, everything doesn't have to be sensationalized. Every black community has an NAACP org(i think).

So you acknowledge BLM as an organization was kind of focused on sensationalizing police brutality.

I know every community has an org that can organize protest but its also again as I have mentioned before as someone who has covered these protest and picked people up from the police station only so effective

Police beat kids teens and adults here in Chicago for walking in circles and charged them with felony mob action. Put them in Jail for 24 hours or more sometimes. For walking in circles or chanting.

They raised the bridges here in Chicago to protect the wealthy class from others.

Things that got the most reaction from police and change in Chicago had nothing to do with BLM

Organized looting, attempting to tear the columbus statue down.

The way we protest has to change because in the camera lens the media is going to demonize us either way.

BLM as an organization AND as a slogan doesnt do enough. Matter is the bare minimum so of course when the slogan was coined and marketed other races were going to say "wait we matter too"

Yes I know white lives matter was coined more reactionary and often utilized by racist but Asian lives Matter wasn't and other instances. There are white victims of police brutality as well. Yes I know lower numbers but they exist. Point being when you are making a slogan or organnization yes we do suffer intensely in america and the world but you want to bring people together

They make us all into statistics, black ink, obituaries especially in covid era. Be it sanctions, war, police brutality, poverty, homelessness. Any time a group of white men feel they must face their privilege in anyway shape or form this cycle is inevitable

So it’s a movement focused on the plights and injustices of my people.

What specific plights and injustices were solved? Why was the energy only high in 2020?

Like I said. We left the situation with a slogan and vibes. Now we uncomfortable with basic truths. Mindfuck.

you think ppl just stopped working against police brutality?

this the problem with folks, just because it’s not broadcasted yall think there aren’t real people going through this s*** and fighting against it on the daily

BLM movement been around way before 2020 but now it’s no longer on socials yall think the actual communities have stopped. I’m from Chicago & I can tell you ppl are going against police brutality daily it seems. I would suggest getting involved in your local community if you honestly don’t think ppl are working towards change. A lot of them still support BLM the movement

I am saying again saying BLM as an organization is a scam isn't false. There are many organizations in Chicago I know people leading them that do infinitely more for the community than BLM with exponentially less money no catchy slogan and not as many connections.

Thats all I am saying. Protest aren't entirely useless but they definitely mentally, financially, spirtually wear out people on the front lines. yes we make progress but I imagine (would have to check numbers) police brutality and deaths are STILL HAPPENING under Biden they just aren't being reported in the mainstream media to the same degree because the mainstream media partially used BLM and BLM used citizens like us to stoke a race war enough to set up the election as they will likely do again.

I've always believed in the back of my head that Arnault killed Virgil. It was very clear by Project Maybach that Abloh wanted to extend beyond LVMH and his sudden demise always stuck out to me as an anomaly since 60% of his company was sold to LVMH before his death. Virgil was put on the Board shortly after and was already becoming a bigger household name than any designer I think I've seen since Ye; it's possible Nicholas Guhessquire and Arnault saw that as a threat, and "rare cancer no one knew about" being the cause stood out considering that it would be such a conveniently niche disease to blame a death on, like no one would question cancer being so sudden, unlike other ailments.
