WLM’s entire purpose as a slogan was to perpetuate predominantly white suburban reactionary backlash against the social progression BLM represented, much like “White Power” in the 1960s was a response to ”Black Power”, affiliated with the pro-Black militant movement
The reactionaries feel as if the social progress of black people represented by BLM is an implicit threat to their spot in the racial hierarchy that blankets America
I don’t think its that much of a joke if a guy with such a large platform/class status as Ye decides to endorse such reactionary sentiments as this while there is a simultaneous global power grab happening by the explicitly ethno-nationalist and racist far-right which is coasting on this backlash against "cultural liberalism" which necessarily includes things like racial equality as well as other factors
White power as a phrase was a response to the phrase black power. Black power as a phrase is not part of the actual Civil rights movement which actually didn't really get into slogan marketing outside of we shall overcome. Phrases like black power, Black is beautiful and others are often attached to the civil rights movement but have very little to do with it.
Post was well intentioned but historically inaccurate in a dangerous way. Blm doesn't r run parallel to that work

i think it's delusional to label 'far-right' as fascist when fascism exists on the left as well.
and i don't think everyone given the 'far-right' label is a 'radical racist'
ye has made a turned quite a few black people into millionaires and broke down barriers for a lot more. look how many black people are in prominent positions in the fashion industry today. i wouldn't say he fits the 'alt-right' label
this far-right s*** is a lazy way to look at problems. this left = good, right = bad is like some superhero movie logic. the world isn't so black and white.
