Shout out to yeSac trying to take jabs @ at OG & living in denial that his favorite artist has been dropping duds left & right these past couple of years BUT, since it’s Kanye, he’s gonna slobber all over his nuts & say it’s great anyway.
Some y’all itt are too sensitive whenever someone says anything negative about his work as of late.
No one’s perfect, he may bounce back with this record! You never know!
I’m optimistic this will turn out to be pretty good.

You said there's no substance on the ye album but the first 3 tracks tackle the highs and lows of bipolar disorder, suicide, d*** abuse, and s***addiction... and that's the superficial half of the album!

Sure! I have a hot girlfriend with a bangin’ personality. I hold a high position inside of a company all of you love and respect, with a CEO every single one of you know and respect. I also run a small business in which I help men dress better that is doing incredibly well for its first year in business. I am also definitely the wealthiest user on this forum by a long shot (not even flexing, I’m 34 and driven af so it’d be weird if I wasn’t).
Been working on a lot of projects since moving to Vegas 2 years ago so my social circle is in the gutter and could definitely use some work tbh, but I know that’ll change when the time is right.
Opinions:

JIK is a great album.

I said “back when Ye’s music had substance”
I didn’t specifically point out an album lol.
Ye’s his most personal album & that’s cool.
But he’s at his best when he dives into social issues etc. (IMO)
I have nothing against you, you’re actually one of the homies from KTT1!
But Christ man, stop getting in your feelings whenever I say something

part of the reason why I noticed you is cause I remember your new Ye hate going on for years now
I appreciate people that are hip hop fans not just other music/Kanye fans in Kanye sxn and I have nothing (actually) against you but I'm allowed to make jokes same way ur allowed to hate on new Ye
what was ye section like during the wyoming era? I didn’t have an account and wasn’t on the site that much that era

Hype drew back in on the site after Daytona dropped and it was a certified blassic
But prior to that the Kanye section was in shambles because of all the MAGA/Trump/TMZ stuff in the months leading up to that summer - Even beyond this site that was a very polarising period to be a Ye fan . . . Not to mention that ABYSMAL track he dropped with T.I. that I can't even name

Ye vs the People (feat T.I. as The People)

the fact that of the extremely few bts looks we have of ye in the studio, that song is one of them

but yeah that sounds about right, i was in shambolics the day the charlamagne interview dropped and i thought he was in this amazing mental space and then tmz happened deadass like 2 hours later. I can’t even imagine the chaos of ktt because it was chaos not even being on there

delete this.
I think, like most people, you're reading the last few albums very wrong
deliberately stripped down ≠ inarguably rushed
both ye and JIK were years in the making and were the result of lots of songs being made that Ye wasn't feeling as much as the ones we got in the end, it can't be stripped down and rushed at the same time, if the album had too much going on it would be rushed, but the fact it was as you said deliberately stripped down indicates there was care into how the final product sounds
Ye's vision for everything is stripped back and minimalism
You can say you don't like how the songs sound and I can't argue with that, but you can't criticise the creation of them when he spent a lot of time working with others on making the beats, more than some of his other albums
I love the Doo-Wop/BWIS sample but when Diddy was doing that s*** in the 90s people were calling him a super lazy producer for just utilising a super popular sample and not doing much to it, so I don't see how that really indicates he's putting a monumental amount of effort into it, even though it sounds great and that's truly what matters
He will no doubt be punching in verses in the last few weeks before its released and there's nothing wrong with that, if anything its a good thing he doesn't just rest on his laurels with bars that are outdated and that he doesn't feel anymore, it shows he cares
He probably won't have the mix done until after midnight on the release date because he's a perfectionist and he'll insist on further mixes be done until he's happy with it even if it ends up sounding "worse" to some people (like how the Follow God mix was originally clearer but he requested the album be pushed back for a dirtier mix)
JIK and Ye are not far off from being demos in terms of sound quality. If you really wanna split hairs about what I said, I would say that Ye was inarguably rushed and JIK had more time put into it but was relatively stripped down - Selah's finished version is basically a click track with a gospel choir, for example. Both albums are poorly mixed and objectively don't have the same kind of attention to detail that Ye made himself famous for. It's cool that you love these albums man but for better or worse they are slight in comparison to the rest of his catalogue.
When I mention the BWWIS sample proving that he's aiming big, I meant as this is evidence he is likely going for more of a mass appeal with this project. I find it hard to believe that you really think Ye is not concerned with his place in the musical zeitgeist all of a sudden. I think maybe he WASN'T as concerned about that in the last couple of years, but after the mainstream reception for Ye/JIK he knows it's time to reassert his relevance. We'll have to see what happens I guess.
