nosejabsi think the art direction is some of the best in any of those games but idk the last few times i've returned to it the more i think the mix of bloodborne-esque fast paced combat without the mechanics to make playing aggressively a viable strategy just doesn't work that well
I get where you’re coming from, there wasn’t enough variety in weapon movesets to complement the increase in speed/fluidity and weapon arts seemed pretty pointless. BB didn’t have as many weapons but the fact that pretty much each one was completely distinct from the other made for a better match with the combat system

EverestKicked my ass for 2 days
Was honestly the one I had the most trouble with in any of the games (besides maybe some early Sekiro ones before I understood how to play it)
Yeah it had me rolling like crazy during that fight lol but it felt so amazing to eventually pull it off. The Pontiff was the hardest for me in ds3 though, took me days to beat him.
And yeah Sekiro was such a massive adjustment, eventually it clicked though and I saw how amazing it really was. God I can't wait for Elden Ring
